Buddies

One day after school last week, Kyler's buddy, Hailey, stayed to ride scooters and play at the park. Those two have so much fun together!

Campo Verde Halftime Show

Kayla performed in her first high school basketball halftime show on Friday. Kayla's team danced along with the rest of the Dynamite Express and did a great job!

Getting a treat after the show.

Boyce Thompson Arboretum

Our family really enjoys being outdoors and decided to hit up some hiking with Grandpa Doug. We went to Boyce Thompson Arboretum and enjoyed a nice, kid-friendly hike. The view was gorgeous and we will definitely go back in the spring when all of the plants are in bloom.

LOVE this picture! : )

Kyler leading the way-yikes!

Hanging Out

Saturday night we went over to Aubrey and Jeff's house for dinner and dessert (Smores bar). Yummy! It was nice to relax and hang out with friends while the kids played and entertained themselves!

Doesn't it look like it is snowing in this picture and Dawson is reaching up to touch the snow? Strange...

Happy 2012

On New Year's Eve we always go over to the Blawat's house to ring in the New Year. As always, we had great food, great company and a fun time!

Christmas Day- kids found out they were going to Disneyland

Christmas morning we always go over to my parents house after we open up stockings at presents from Santa at our house. This year, Eric and I were particularly anxious to give the kids their gifts this year! I think this was my favorite Christmas since kids so far. Both of the kids are at such a fun age. They were excited about everything having to do with Christmas from looking at lights, listening to Christmas music, looking for Elfie every morning and especially anticipating Santa!!

The kids running down the stairs to see if Santa came...

Opening up the stockings that Santa filled with fun goodies

Christmas morning over at Grandma and Grandpa's house

Kayla and Kyler with Great-Grandma Doris after she opened up their special gift to her

The kids with my parents after they opened up the scrapbook that we made and decorated with special pictures from the kids

What?? There is one more present for Kayla and Kyler?? What could it be??

A piece of paper? Well, that stinks! What does it say mom?

"Your present is missing and needs to be found. You will need to work together to look for clues all around." Clue 1: When you are hungry and want something to eat, you open me up to get and ice cream treat...

Clue 2:Your next clue is hiding. I bet you wonder where. You will find it in the place that you wash your hair...

Clue 3: On cold winter days, you like to sit by me. I warm you up and make you feel cozy.

Clue 4: (This was Eric's contribution by the way...)I always smell good, I never stink. If you water me outside, I can grow to be yellow, red or pink.

Clue 5: You are getting closer, you are almost done. You will soon find out where we are going to have lots of fun. (The kids then got VERY excited!!) Your clue is not outside, it is inside the house. To find out where we are going, go to the computer and wiggle the mouse...

Before wiggling the mouse, we had to give specific instructions that they needed to do this together!! The last thing we needed was a meltdown because someone did not get to wiggle the mouse! We also made sure that they understood that the picture on the computer was going to be a picture of where we were going...

DISNEYLAND!!!!!!! They were soooo excited! They started screaming and jumping up and down. Priceless!!

Oh, and we are going...tomorrow!!!

With Lexi and Hailey!!!!!

Some Disney gifts and gear from Grandma and Grandpa

Some more random screaming and jumping up and down

Ready for Disney! I think I might have been just as excited as the kids!

The kids slowed down long enough to take some special pictures with Great-Grandma Doris

After all of the excitement at my parents, we headed over to Grandpa Doug's house for a nice Christmas dinner.
