Red Mountain Halloween Carnival
Last night we went with Kaitlyn's family to a Halloween Carnival near their house at Red Mountian Park. There were lots of games for the kids, inflatables, a firetruck, Mesa Police helicopter, petting zoo, and a huge field for the kids to run around in and of course tackle each other.

Thankful for the Reminder
Several days after Eric's surgery, I got online to check email, get caught up with Facebook and visit the blogs I often keep up with. One of the blogs that I frequent, is http://www.thelihns.blogspot.com/, their story is amazing and Stacey's words always inspire me. Her most recent post brought tears to my eyes as I read her words and truly understood the message...
"Opportunity is always present in the midst of crisis." The Chinese word for crisis carries two elements, danger and opportunity. No matter the difficulty of the circumstances, no matter how dangerous the situation,...at the heart of each crisis lies a tremendous opportunity. Great Blessings lie ahead for the one who knows the secret of finding opportunity within each crisis.
Eric and I have been overwhelmed by the amount of love and support we have received from our amazing friends and family. We are thankful for the reminder of what is truly important.

Fall Baking
There is something about the onset of Fall that motivates me to bake and I just happened to get this yummy Pumpkin Muffin recipe from a friend that I had to try out. I of course had two little helpers that love to contribute to the baking part so they are there just in time to lick the spoon and test out the finished product. I have to say, the muffins turned out pretty yummy!

School Carnival
Kayla's friend, Kaitlyn, invited our family to attend her school's Fall carnival. There was so much for the kids to do and we enjoyed the nice cool evening weather!
