Science Center

After Kayla's sleep over, we went to the Science Center with the Blawat Family. Kayla had a good time exploring but especially had fun dressing up as a princess and playing in the castle-go figure!

Kayla's 1st Slumber Party

Kayla's BFF, Lexi, came over for a slumber party last Friday. Those two girls are so stinkin cute together, Eric and I were so excited for them to have a slumber party together. The girls played really good together, and have the cutest conversations! They went to bed around 9 but did not fall asleep until 11:30!! Why?? Because they were in Kayla's room talking! Eric and I were standing in the hallway listening to them talk about stinky cows, Kayla was giving Lexi a lesson on dogs and why they lick people, they were singing songs, and plotting their escape to the bathroom. They went potty 4 times before I called Alaina to see if Lexi had some kind of issue that I should be aware of. I think I was getting manipulated by two adorable 3 year olds! We had a blast and can not wait for Lexi to spend the night, again!

Tea Party

Kayla decided that for Kyler's 4 month birthday that we should celebrate by having a tea party. Just what Kyler had in mind, I'm sure. Kyler was having fun for a while but I think he is calling out for help in the picture with Kayla behind him!

The Journey

We took the journey out to Brenda's house to visit and let the kiddos swim. We had such a great time catching up, watching the kids swim, and then letting them loose to play upstairs while the mommies were chatting downstairs.

Kyler 4 Months

Kyler is able to sit in the Bumbo and play in the Exersaucer now for longer periods of time. He still has a hard time holding his head up but as you can tell from the pictures, he sure is trying! He loves to roll on to his side but just can't manage to completely roll over just yet. We think that he is starting the teething process...great! He drools constantly and loves to chew on things, especially his hands. Kyler bobs his head all over the place when we are eating, you can tell he wants food! So, we are going to start him on cereal this week. The chunker is weighing in at 15 1/2 pounds. We always like to go back and see how old Kayla was when she weighed the same amount and Kayla was 9 months when she weighed 15 pounds. It just reminds us how tiny Kayla was (well, I guess still is). Kyler loves to smile at everyone and laughs when Daddy blows raspberries on his tummy.

4th of July

We spent the 4th over at my parents house. We had a great time swimming,hanging out and had a yummy dinner that Darren BBQ'd. We of course went and saw a fireworks show that Kayla had been talking about ALL day long. Kyler slept through the whole thing, party pooper!

The Inevitable Day

So, as you know from previous blogs, Kayla loves to dress up. One of her favorite dress up accessories is her "princess hair" (which is the blanket with a crown on top). Eric and I knew it was just a matter of time before she tried to dress up poor Kyler...well, today was that day. Kayla put on Kyler's princess hair and crown but then she told us that Kyler could be the Queen. We were laughing so hard! Poor Kyler!!
