Kyler Page Williams

Just like Kayla, Kyler decided to make an early entrance into the world. Kyler Page was born Monday, March 23rd at 7:32 a.m. He weighed 6lbs 7oz and was 20 inches long. Sunday night I started having contractions but went to bed feeling like they were not anything that I would need to go to the hospital for. However, the contractions continued and only got worse. I laid there wondering what I should do. I never experienced this process with Kayla and I was unsure what contractions constituted going to the hospital at 11 p.m. Well, the decision was made for me at 1 a.m. when my water broke. So, I called my dad and told him he needed to come over to be with Kayla and to tell mom to head to the hospital. I then called Alaina in a panic and told her to head to the hospital as well as needing a little reassurance that I would make it to the hospital. When I was admitted to triage, I was already dilated to 4cm and knew this labor would be a quick one, and it was. We are so blessed that Kyler is with us as healthy as he is today. After delivery, the Dr noticed that there was a knot in the umbilical cord and he was definitely considered a miracle baby. We are so blessed to have Kyler in our lives and apart of our family.

The Williams Family

A Proud Big Sister

Kayla could not be happier to be a big sister! She absolutely adores Kyler and loves to help. It is really funny and I'm not quite sure where she got this but when Kyler starts crying, she gets real concerned and tells us (nicely) that Kyler has a problem. It is actually really sweet. We are so thrilled that Kayla has adjusted well to Kyler coming home.

Kyler Update

We took Kyler to his 1st dr appointment on Friday. He now weighs 6lbs. 3oz and had an overall good checkup. The dr did notice that Kyler was "glowing" and needed to be tested for jaundice. We took him to the lab to get blood drawn and his bilirubin level was at 19. A medical supply company brought out a bluelight blanket that Kyler needs to be under unless he is feeding or being changed. We went back to the lab today and got his blood drawn again (poor guy) and his level had gone down to 17. We will continue to keep him under his blanket and will take him back to the lab again on Monday. Other than that, Kyler is such a good baby and is eating and sleeping well.

Dinosaur Museum

Kayla loves dinosaurs, thanks to the movie "The Land Before Time" (which we have watched what seems like 100 times). So, we visited the Arizona Museum of Natural History. Kayla was amazed to see all of the dinosaur bones but was a little uneasy at Dinosaur Mountain which had replicas of dinosaurs and the noises they made. We had a great time looking at the dinosaur bones, panning for gold, and she had a blast hamming it up for the camera which displayed her picture on a large screen T.V.

Spring Cleaning

I wanted to take advantage of having a week off to get some "spring cleaning" done around the house. Kayla loves to clean (woo-hoo!) and wanted to help (woo-hoo, again!). It was actually kind of nice to have a little helper! I did not take pictures though of her rearranging the Tupperware cupboard or "refolding" all of the laundry that I had already folded and had in stacks...those moments were not as cute! Okay, maybe they were.

A Trip to the Zoo

So, mommy had this great idea of starting off Spring Break with a trip to the Zoo. Kayla loves the zoo, the weather was nice; what a great idea, right? Wrong! The weather WAS nice, Kayla had a blast seeing all of the animals but what mommy failed to think about was that she was 8 months pregnant and pushing around a stroller at the zoo would be a NIGHTMARE, and it was! So, I made Kayla walk a lot and we enjoyed the 30 minute train ride around the zoo and sat down for long lunch, then sat down again to eat an enormous snow cone. We did have a great time but I was exhausted the rest of the day! Lesson learned!!

Katelyn's Birthday Party

Kayla was so excited for her friend from preschool, Katelyn's birthday party! As soon as she saw Katelyn, she took off running toward the party. Katelyn's mom had some fun games planned for the kids but all that they wanted to do was play with balloons, go figure! The weather was perfect for a party at the park and it is always nice when the kids can play and the adults can sit back relax and chat a little.

Hula Girl

Kayla gave hula hooping her best shot...so cute! She was very determined to get that hula hoop to cooperate...maybe with a little more practice.
