Summertime

It has been a really long time since I have updated our family blog.  A long time, like, over a year long time.  I realized how much I enjoyed going back to look at pictures and read about what was going on, so decided that I really need to start blogging our memories again.  I unfortunately, do not have enough time to go back and post over a years worth of pictures to get caught up, so I will just start with what has been our summer so far.

Kayla and Kyler on their last day of 4th and 1st grade.

Welcome to summer!!  Let the fun begin...

Right after school, we loaded up the car and headed down to Rocky Point with our good friends, the Harwood and Mathews families.
Kids were so happy to be on the beach!

Us moms were a little excited, too!

Most of our time was spent on the beach playing and relaxing.

Lots of time to hang out with friends.

All of the kids collected seashells from the beach to bring back home with them as a memory of Rocky Point.
We had so much fun!!  Until next year...

At the end of every school year, our cul-de-sac gets together to celebrate the start of summer vacation.  We always have so much fun!

300+ water balloons gone in a matter of minutes...

Adults and kiddos ready to play 007.
Kayla's tumbling extravaganza

Lots of time for fun with friends.  We love summer!!

Kayla and Ava wanted to go to the mall to shop.  I remember going to the mall with my friends when I was younger, so it kind of  made me laugh when they asked.  Spending their money on beanie boos that they will never play with.
Good thing Kyler is such a good sport.
 Sweet little friends since kindergarten.

Celebrating Ava's birthday at Sunsplash and then Rustler's Rooste for dinner.

 And fun with family, too!

The kids always have such a great time with grandma and grandpa at Vacation Bible School.

National Doughnut Day-yum!
The kids are lucky to have a mom with such a sweet tooth. I have many yummy places to try on my bucket list, and here are just a few we have tried so far.  There will be more...

My kids love cinnamon rolls and this place makes the biggest and yummiest!
First recital in 7 years that Kayla was not in but we still went to watch her old teammates/friends. Kayla was so happy to see everyone!

We celebrated Father's Day at Uncle Matt and Aunt Brooke's house.

Kyler attend 3 days of Boy Scout Camp.  It was REALLY hot but so fun!  I was glad that I could go with him for 2 of the days and then Eric went for the last day of camp.

Kyler learned gun safety and how to shoot a bb gun.
Archery.  This was Kyler's favorite, he did really good.

Back to Rocky Point, this time just our family.  Eric was lucky enough to celebrate his birthday while we were there.
