Father's Day

The kids started off the day giving Eric their Father's Day present customized with hand prints and "All About My Dad" interview (these always crack me up) on the back.
Thanks to sassytalk.net for the Father's Day sign.

We then headed over to Matt and Brooke's house for a day of swimming and relaxing.

Fun in the Sun

Today we had a swim play date with two of Kayla's best buddies from school. Kayla was so excited to see them!
We have been working with Kayla on swimming without her floaties and today was the first time that she swam the whole time with no floaties. She was jumping in and swimming all over the pool. It was nice to see her finally feel confident enough to swim without her floaties. Kyler had a good time just floating around the pool, eating, playing with the other kids, and more eating. Lol!

Kayla's Recital

Kayla danced in three recitals this year as part of the Dynamite Express dance team. She performed a ballet dance, and two jazz dances. Kayla and her team did such a great job and our family enjoyed watching Kayla doing what she loves. We were very proud of her!

Kayla and her proud little brother. When Kyler saw Kayla all done up, he told her how beautiful she looked. He is so sweet!

Kyler and Hailey before the show. Kyler saw Kayla do her ballet dance and then somehow managed to sleep the rest of the recital.

Eric did the Daddy Dance again this year and showed off his secretive dance moves by doing the worm on stage. Kayla always has fun dancing with daddy on stage.

Kayla and Lexi with Miss Apsen. One of the company dancers and helper in Kayla's technique class that Kayla just loves!

Dress Rehearsal

Kayla and her team practicing their jazz dance, "We Got the Beat". This was one of Kayla's favorite dances and you can tell because she sure did know how to shake it!

Kayla had a little part in the ballet dance, "English Garden". She came out and "watered" all of the other little dancers and then took center stage. She looked so sweet. The picture is a little blurry.

Kayla and her dance buddy, Ashley.

Summer is Here!!!!

It has only been two weeks since the last day of school and we have already had such a fun summer...

Splash pad playdate with Savannah and my friend, Pat.

Kayla went to her friend, Ava's birthday party at Superstition Farms. Kayla had a blast and loved seeing her buddies from school.

Kayla, Kyler, Emmy (and Emmy's brother, Nate, who did not want his picture taken) at Great Play summer camp.

Kayla and some of her friends from school at Skyline Pool.

Kayla and Kyler with Joslyn and Carson at the Harkins summer movies. This picture makes me laugh because Carson is angry and did not want his picture taken because he did not like his shoes.

Kyler is like his mommy and loves jammies. Anytime we are at any store he always points out jammies that he wants. So when we got him the Batman jammies he wanted, he was in seventh heaven. He would wear them everyday all day if we let him.

I remember my brother and I would always build forts when we were little so I always have fun making forts for the kids. I have a feeling this fort will be up in the loft most of the summer, they have moved so much of their stuff into the "rooms" in the fort. What ever entertains them...

Kayla and Kyler with Lexi and Hailey at a birthday party for one of Kayla's friends from dance.

The kids fell asleep on the way home and could not stay awake long enough to change clothes or even make it to their room...

We had a little family graduation party for Kayla a few days after her last day of school.

Swimming at my parent's house. The kids sure do have it rough...

Swim lessons. One of our goals for this summer is for Kayla to swim without her floaties. Kyler does great in the water and will most likely be swimming in no time.

We went to the "Dinosaur Museum" with our friends, Emmy, Nate and Stephanie.

The one weekend it was a little cooler (in the 90's) we headed out to Playtopia park for some fun.

We met some of our friends at the Val Vista Lakes "beach" for some fun. The kids had a blast and the mommies enjoyed the opportunity to chat while the kids were entertained, rare moment.
